Story Turns and Image Credits
What counts as a turn, how the daily free limit works, and everything image credits pay for, from scene art to narration.
Updated July 2, 2026
SagaBound meters play with two units. A story turn is one action and the narrator's response to it. An image credit pays for generated extras like scene art and voice narration. Turns are about how much you play; credits are about what you add on top.
Story turns
Free accounts include 50 story turns per day, and the counter resets daily. All four memberships remove the daily limit. If a turn comes back degraded, retrying it does not bill a second turn.
- Scene images cost 1 to 5 credits depending on the image model picked in Settings, refunded automatically if generation fails.
- Voice narration costs 1 credit per 750 characters read aloud, with the rate shown in the narrator's Settings panel.
- Starter credits: every new account begins with 10.
- Monthly allowance: paid plans refresh credits each billing cycle, from 50 on Traveler to 700 on Paragon.
- Packs: one-time top-ups in the Shop, from 100 to 1,400 credits.
Keeping an eye on your balance
On the free plan, a turn meter sits in the game HUD and shifts amber, then red, as the day's limit nears. The Shop always shows your credit balance, and credits move only for the opening scene image and the extras you trigger yourself, like Visualize and narration.
