An open storybook glowing on a wooden table beneath an aurora-lit night sky

The SagaBound blog is where we explain what we are building and why. Expect development updates as they ship, deep dives into how the game's systems actually work, a straight accounting of what player feedback changed, and, soon, research drawn from how people really play AI-driven tabletop RPGs.

What we will publish

  • Development. What shipped and why, how the AI Dungeon Master, the memory stack, and the safety systems work, and every release note as it lands. The reference versions of the system explainers live in the Player's Guide; the posts here tell the longer story.
  • Community. What your reports and reviews changed in the game, on the record.
  • Research. AI-driven RPGs are a new genre and almost nobody publishes data about how they are actually played. We have that data in aggregate, and studies land here.

Why a blog at all

SagaBound is built by a very small team, and the honest version of that is: decisions get made quickly, and players deserve to see the reasoning. A storefront page cannot hold that conversation. A blog can. We also think the genre itself needs better documentation. When someone asks how an AI game master keeps a story consistent for three hundred turns, we want a written answer anyone can check, not folklore.

Dates you can trust

Every post shows when it was published and when it last meaningfully changed. If a post goes stale, we update it and say so, or we leave it dated and let the date speak. The one thing we will not do is silently rewrite history, because half the value of writing things down is being accountable to them later.
